Menashe Oppenheim was a multifaceted performer, born in 1905 in the eastern borderlands of Poland. His early career in entertainment began to take shape in the 1930s, when he performed at the revi-teater in Kovne, under the guidance of Jonas Turkow. He later transitioned to the Scala theater, where he continued to hone his craft. Oppenheim's talents eventually led him to become a prominent figure in Yiddish cinema, showcasing his acting abilities in a number of films.

As a singer, Oppenheim was prolific, recording numerous songs in Yiddish. He was also a skilled composer and songwriter, penning lyrics that reflected his cultural heritage. His work was recognized by the Jewish Section of the prewar Association of Theatrical Authors And Composers in Warsaw, to which he belonged. Throughout his career, Oppenheim demonstrated his versatility as a performer, leaving a lasting legacy in the world of Yiddish entertainment. He passed away in 1973, at the age of 68, leaving behind a body of work that continues to be celebrated by audiences today.
