Maddie Blaustein

Maddie Blaustein was a multifaceted American talent, active in the fields of voice acting and comic writing. Her voice acting career was marked by notable collaborations with prominent studios, including 4Kids Entertainment, DuArt Film and Video, and NYAV Post. One of her most recognizable roles was as the character Meowth in the Pokémon anime series, a part she reprised on multiple occasions.

In addition to her voice work, Blaustein made significant contributions to the world of comics, penning stories for Milestone Comics. Her writing introduced one of the first transgender female characters in superhero comics, a milestone that reflected her commitment to representation and diversity. As an intersex and transgender individual herself, Blaustein was a trailblazer in her industry, paving the way for others as the first intersex and transgender voice artist at several of her respective agencies.
