Howard Jachter

Howard Jachter is a prominent American Orthodox rabbi, educator, and author, specializing in Judaism. He holds key positions, including serving as a Dayan on the Beth Din of Elizabeth, New Jersey, and administering Gittin. Rabbi Jachter is recognized for his expertise in the laws of Jewish divorce and chairs the Agunah Prevention and Resolution Committee of the Rabbinical Council of America. Additionally, he serves as the consulting rabbi for numerous Eruvs across the United States, totaling over 70.

Rabbi Jachter is the spiritual leader of Sha'arei Orah, the Sephardic Congregation of Teaneck, and is a faculty member at the Torah Academy of Bergen County. He is a prolific writer, having authored 20 books and over 1,000 articles that have been published online and in journals.
